GAMUT : PANORAMA
Soia – Illustrations and Graphic Creations
Julien Sénélas – Synthesizers
Jérôme Vassereau – Synthesizers
Production - Un je-ne-sais-quoi
Panorama is a new stage creation by Gamut that combines music (modular synthesizers) and visual art (video projection/object manipulation/paper and drawing). The two mediums, visual and music, feed into one another: drawings can produce sounds, while modular synthesizers serve as a source for live visual creation.
In 2020, Gamut (Soia, Stéphanie Delpouve, Jérôme Vassereau, and Julien Sénélas) presented their first collaboration, In C pour 11 oscillateurs et 53 formes, a unique reinterpretation of In C, the seminal work by Terry Riley. Building on this initial experience, the collective continues their exploration with this new creation, pushing the boundaries of their research into the relationship between music and imagery.
Panorama is an original work inspired by the gamelan (a percussion ensemble integral to many traditions in Indonesian culture). It is an exploration of the concept of perception—accuracy/harmony—using various scales, tonal systems, and musical temperaments.

COLLABORATIVE VISUAL AND SOUND INSTALLATION
This interactive installation extends Gamut's Panorama performance, exploring a fictional landscape blending visual and sound design.
Panorama: Playground is a collection of images and sounds enabling collective creation. Comprising three interactive modules, it invites you to interact with other visitors by playing with melodies, shapes, colors, and rhythms. Your actions contribute to the creation of an ever-evolving sound and visual landscape. Think of this space as a collaborative project where every event shapes and influences the environment.
